The Irony

So the Provo Police, I found out today at my handy dandy traffic school, employ four cars JUST to write tickets. And that is why I got a ticket for not stopping fully at a stop sign I have driven past 1,000 times before. Lame. So I paid the damn ticket and Matt took me to traffic school today (what a nice guy). It was actually entertaining. The officer posted tons of funny videos from this weird website and actually worked in Fullerton a while back. Nice guy...too bad he's exiled to teaching EVERY traffic school that goes through Provo. Lame job. I'm glad he tries to have fun. He is my new hero. So Matt and I were uber-freaked out after that because our teacher told us how little things like not buckling your seatbelt can not only kill yourself and two other passengers, but give your girlfriend permanent brain damage...things like that. So we get close to home and pass four cops. Of course Matt was careful and kept driving. We get to 1st E and 4th N, in a residential area, the quietest part of Provo...and this girl runs her stop sign, I scream, Matt swerves, and we get HIT. No one got hurt. There is some damage to the alignment and a dent and whatnot. The place the girl got hit on her car already had a HUGE dent on it. I have a feeling this has happened to her before.
Matt was actually excited, because he had never gotten in an accident before. I assured him that accidents weren't usually this fun, and we went on our way looking for quotes to fix the car, that the girl offered to pay for since it was her fault. Two hours later and a quote of at least $1300, Matt turns to me and says, "K, this isn't fun anymore." Bingo Boingo, Budderoo.

The moral of the story is: even if you're not an idiot, some people are. maybe SHE should go to traffic school. Also, stephen pointed out that the reason we got in an accident was the reason why i had to go to traffic school. I'm sure God is just sittin up there in heaven, laughing his head off at all the ironic situations he puts his children in. Thank you God for giving me a funny traffic school teacher, for idiot drivers, but most importantly: the fact that our accident was minor and no one got hurt.

I'm buying a bike.
