All Else Is Gravy

My art teacher has always said that everything we do and are should be vibrantly sufficient. In other words, do what you need to do, but do it well. Don't worry about being the best at everything, but what you do should be your best. He told us this while we were in the middle of the "I don't think I'm ever going to be a good teacher" phase. It is comforting to realize that one person cannot be, do, finish, go to, create everything all at once. It reminds me of the phrase, "Whatever you are, be a good one." Make your goals count. Make the things you do count. What you don't do can wait until tomorrow. All else is gravy :) Phew, now isn't that a relief?

Live Elegantly.
